ellenruiter.ch is a specialized community and web platform for enthusiasts of traditional accordions and hand organs. The project was initiated by Hans T. Frei, who owns an impressive collection of historical hand organs and accordions. Since these instruments need to be played regularly to remain in good condition, the idea emerged to create a platform where they could be shared with a community of musicians.
To support this concept, a custom web application combined with a community platform was developed. The system enables structured management of the instrument collection and allows the entire lending process to be digitally organized and automated, from requests and reservations to the return of instruments.
In addition to the application itself, a community-oriented website was created to present information about the collection, the instruments, and the activities of the community.
As with all Websitemaster projects, special attention was given to clear user guidance and high usability, ensuring that community members can interact with the platform easily and intuitively.
From a technical perspective, the platform is equipped with modern security mechanisms, including protection against brute-force attacks and other potential security risks, ensuring a stable and secure operation of the system.
