For HCL Germany, one of the world’s leading IT technology companies, Websitemaster developed the career website and the API integration with the company’s personnel management system. The website was implemented as a custom corporate business website following HCL’s corporate design guidelines, serving as the central platform for presenting open job positions.
The technical core of the platform is the API integration with HCL’s internal personnel management system (PMS). Through an automated cron job, all current job postings are synchronized every 10 minutes and published on the career website. Candidates can then apply directly through a complex custom-built application form integrated into the platform.
As part of the project, an existing legacy Symfony-based application was analyzed and migrated to a newer Symfony version. This process required deep expertise in legacy code analysis, framework migration, and complex software architectures, areas where Websitemaster’s experience played a key role.
In addition, a new Symfony console application was developed to manage the communication between the website and the personnel management system, handling the automated synchronization processes.
The result is a powerful and scalable career platform that combines modern web technologies with robust system integration, significantly improving and streamlining HCL’s digital recruiting workflow.
