For the St. Nikolaus Society of the City of Zurich, Websitemaster developed a modern website featuring an integrated booking system and a complex planning application to organize the traditional St. Nicholas visits.
At the core of the platform is a comprehensive online booking form, allowing families and companies in Zurich to easily book a Samichlaus (St. Nicholas) visit. Incoming bookings are automatically transferred into a custom-developed planning application, which is used by the so-called “Chlauschef” to coordinate the assignments.
The application supports the full scheduling process for Samichlaus, Schmutzli assistants, and drivers. To manage the large number of appointments efficiently, a complex scheduling and management system was developed, including several specialized tools such as:
- an advanced appointment and booking system
- dynamic planning lists and scheduling overviews
- a professional user management system with roles and permissions
- an integrated mailing system for communication with participants
This digital platform significantly simplifies the organization of the traditional Samichlaus visits and enables the efficient coordination of many visits within a short period of time.
We are particularly proud of this project because Websitemaster is not only the technical developer of the website and application, but also supports the non-profit organization financially. This contribution helps ensure that families and businesses in Zurich can continue to book and organize this beloved tradition in a modern and efficient way.
